April 13 Bedford Spring Small Boats Head 2km head
19 Junior Inter-regional Regatta NWSC 1500m (selected crews only)
27 Lea Spring 600m sprint, important to support as local event, our nearest regatta, good fun racing to blast the cobwebs out..
May 3 Medway Friendly Run as Head over 2,500m, maybe issues with boat usage
4 Wallingford Spring Multi-Lane (Dorney Lake)1.5Km – good chance to experience multi-lane racing, early in the season so competition has not hotted up yet, a must for those with aspirations of Henley and bigger events
5 Marlow Spring Club has not been for many years. 900m river racing. For those wanting to make use of the Bank Holiday Monday
11 Poplar Regatta Multi-Lane (Docks) 2Km. Although a long course regatta significantly close to the Head season and time to get lots of 2k pieces in. Vital that we support this event as the only regatta left in our region! Good first experience of multi-lane racing.
  23 – 25 National Schools J14 & J15 small boats 1km, J16+ 2km, selected crews only.
25 Twickenham Regatta 3 Lane, 1250m – good alternative if Monmouth weekend not supported as an idea – some good competition from the Thames region
24 – 25 Monmouth Sprint and Monmouth Weekend Tour – 750m on Saturday then 1500m on Sunday – fun friendly racing that is worth the long drive. Excellent for club bonding. Overnight camping and BBQ involve. Those with children should be able to work together to cover races etc and your children get to see you race
31 Metropolitan Multi-lane 2000m Dorney Lake – high level racing, not for the faint-hearted
June 1 Weybridge Ladies One for the ladies only!
  14 – 15 Reading Amateur A Henley run-up regatta. Highly competitive.
  20 – 22 Henley Women’s Regatta 2000m (2 Lane)
21-22 Marlow Amateur 2Km, Multi-lane, Dorney Lake – for those aiming for Henley, and those wanting to try their luck at high level racing
22 Thames Valley Park All Juniors
27 HRR Qualifiers As the name suggests for those entered for Henley
28 Richmond Amateur 1250m – 3 lane – one of the few regattas pre-Henley that is of a more “club” level, same course as Twickenham.
July 2 – 6 HRR (Selected)
11-12 Henley Vets 1000m. An excellent opportunity to race down some of the Henley course. Although highly competitive but great veteran community spirit
  18 – 20 National Championships NWSC (Selected)
  27 Burway V&J Regatta 600m (upstream)
26 – 27 St Neots Weekend 1000m Saturday then 500m Sunday – another weekend bonding trip, great course, and scene of many past MIRC successes. Good for first regatta for those starting rowing in March etc.
